Billr Health is committed to protecting the privacy of healthcare providers and their patients. As a HIPAA Business Associate, we maintain the highest standards of data security and confidentiality.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for an account, submit claims, or contact our support team. This includes practice information (name, NPI, tax ID, specialty), contact details (name, email, phone), and billing data necessary to provide our revenue cycle management services.
We also collect information automatically when you use our platform, including log data, device information, IP addresses, and usage analytics to improve our services and maintain security.
As a HIPAA Business Associate, Billr Health handles Protected Health Information (PHI) only as permitted by your executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). We do not use PHI for marketing purposes, do not sell PHI to third parties, and maintain strict technical, administrative, and physical safeguards as required by the HIPAA Security Rule.
We do not sell your personal information or PHI to third parties. We may share information with insurance payers and clearinghouses as necessary to submit claims, with our technology service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements, and with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when legally required.
We implement industry-leading security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, continuous security monitoring, annual SOC 2 Type II audits, and penetration testing. All facilities hosting Billr Health systems are HITRUST certified.
We retain practice and billing data for a minimum of seven years as required by CMS regulations. PHI is retained in accordance with your BAA terms and applicable state medical records retention laws. You may request deletion of non-PHI personal data by contacting privacy@billrhealth.com.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Healthcare providers retain rights over PHI under HIPAA. To exercise your rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@billrhealth.com or 1-800-555-0100.

By accessing or using the Billr Health platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a medical practice or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Billr Health provides cloud-based revenue cycle management services including medical coding assistance, electronic claims submission, denial management, accounts receivable management, patient collections support, and practice analytics. The Service is intended solely for licensed healthcare providers operating in compliance with applicable law.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at security@billrhealth.com.
Use of Billr Health for any purpose involving Protected Health Information (PHI) requires execution of a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Your BAA is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Billr Health will not process PHI without a valid, signed BAA in place.
Service fees are calculated as a percentage of net collections as specified in your subscription tier. Fees are invoiced monthly and due within 15 days of invoice. Billr Health reserves the right to adjust fees with 60 days' written notice.
Billr Health shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We do not guarantee specific revenue outcomes or claim approval rates.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Newark, New Jersey, except for claims seeking injunctive relief.

Important Notice: Billr Health, Inc. operates as a HIPAA Business Associate. This notice applies to healthcare providers who use our services and whose patients' protected health information we process on their behalf.
As a HIPAA Business Associate, Billr Health is required by law to maintain the privacy of Protected Health Information (PHI), provide you with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices, and notify you following a breach of unsecured PHI. We are required to abide by the terms of this notice currently in effect.
We use and disclose PHI only as permitted by your signed Business Associate Agreement and applicable law. Permitted uses include processing claims for payment, quality assessment activities, and as required by law. We do not use PHI for marketing, we do not sell PHI, and we do not disclose PHI for any purpose not authorized in your BAA.
We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect PHI as required by the HIPAA Security Rule. These include encryption of data at rest and in transit, access controls and audit logging, workforce training programs, and regular risk assessments.
In the event of a breach of unsecured PHI, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 calendar days following discovery of the breach, as required by the HITECH Act.
